Centennial Quality Awards Program

The Centennial Quality Awards program is designed to recognize units, districts, councils, areas, and regions in achieving excellence in providing a quality program to a growing youth population in America at all levels of the Boy Scouts of America.
2007
- 2007 Centennial Quality Unit Recognition Summary Flyer No. 14-238V
- This flyer describes the recognitions available to those units, districts, and councils qualifying for the award. It provides a description and shows images of the awards available. It also briefly reviews the schedule for achievement.
- 2007 Centennial Quality Achievement Form for Council Award No. 14-185
- At the end of the year, the council should complete their achievement record for each criteria and share it with their area leadership for achievement. This form can be completed by hand, on a typewriter, or you can enter all of the data on the computer by opening this link. Remember that you cannot save the data, so you will have to completely fill in all blanks, then print it out to be signed by the council and area representatives. The "Interpretations" section is on the second page of the link.
- 2007 Centennial Quality Achievement Form for District Award No. 14-187
- At the end of the year, the district should complete their achievement record for each criteria and share it with their council leadership for achievement. This form can be completed by hand, on a typewriter, or you can enter all of the data on the computer by opening this link. Remember that you cannot save the data, so you will have to completely fill in all blanks, then print it out to be signed by the district and council representatives. - 2007 Council Centennial Quality Program Special Order Form for Council and District Awards No. 14-754V
- Once the districts and the council have determined they qualify for the 2007 Centennial Quality Award and the achievement form has been completed and signed off, the council should order the proper recognitions. Awards can be ordered through the Scout Shop or from the National Distribution Center. This order form describes those items that are available with catalog numbers and prices.
- 2007 Centennial Quality Achievement Form for Unit Award No. 14-186
- Beginning after October 31, but no later than December 31, the unit leadership should meet with their commissioner or a district representative to complete their achievement record for each criteria. This form can be completed by hand, on a typewriter, or you can enter all of the data on the computer by opening this link. Remember that you cannot save the data, so you will have to completely fill in all blanks, then print it out to be signed by the unit and district representatives. The "Interpretations" section is on the second page of the link. (As a suggestion, it is recommended that the 2008 Commitment form for the Centennial Quality Unit Award be completed during the same visit.)
- 2007 Order Form for Units No. 14-192
- Once the unit has determined they qualify for the 2007 Centennial Quality Unit Award and the achievement form has been completed and signed off by the unit and district leadership, the unit can submit this form to order their recognitions. A unit ribbon is provided at no charge to those units who qualify. Awards can be ordered through the Scout Shop or the Local Council Distributor. This order form describes those items that are available with catalog numbers and prices.

- The award implementation packet with: the design of the new awards that will be available after October 31, 2007 and comments from a representative group of volunteers and professionals who helped to provide direction and feedback with the new requirements.

- 2008 How to Succeed at Earning the Centennial Award! No. 14-582 NEW DVD!
- How to Succeed at Earning the Centennial Quality Award! Provides a message for volunteers to help them understand each quality program indicator. It provides examples of how to interpret each criterion and how to establish and achieve the goals set. It is designed to be shown at council, district, or unit meetings.
- Instructions to access the forms on the DVD mailed to councils for each district: 1) Click on Start on your toolbar; 2) Click on My Computer; 3) Find the DVD Drive that has the Centennial Quality Award DVD; 4) Right click on that DVD Drive; 5) Click Open; 6) The three forms will be there to download or save to your computer.
